Radio Hexi

This time 2 months ago I was in Paris at Japan Expo. I believe at this pretty much exactly time i was waiting in line for the concert, chatting to Maeva and her friend (I’m sorry! i never learnt your name!! i feel so bad! ><'') and Jade and feeling very hot and bothered but looking forward to what was going to be an amazing gig and one of the best evenings of my life.

Looking back i still believe that weekend to be the best of my life to date. I was with great friends, at a great convention, seeing my favourite group, glorious weather (if not a bit too hot), making new friends and just generally thoroughly enjoying myself.
It's sad that the past 2 months have gone by so quickly and i really hope that someone comes back soon so the weekend can be re-lived in some form or another.

Sadly nothing interesting has happened since then.... :( apart from moving into my new house, not alot has happened in my life which makes me thankful that the weekend was so great. Just another thank you to everyone who made the weekend possible/as awesome as it was!!

So SNSD are releasing Genie over in Japan, trying to break over there and knock H!P down another few pegs in awesomeness. and they totally do it.

With this we get a whole new version of Genie sung in Japanese as well as a new MV and in both respects they dominate Morning Musume. but then that’s not hard what with the recent abominations they call singles.

everything about this MV is good. the outfits are awesome, especially thos sailor ones, the girl’s look great, styling is good, sets are awesome and i find myself enjoying this song more in japanese than in korean.
probably cause i way over listened to it when it was first released. XD

Tonight i did my nails again! It’s a design i’ve wanted to do for ages and finally Shirow from Wotakunow! managed to unknowingly convince me to put it into action! :D

So i adore Usamimi headbands right now.
Sayu wore one recently and as predicted looked totally adorable and JunJun wore one on the last day of the Japan Expo in Paris. she rocked it and looked awesome.

Now, i was speaking to ginaRAWR on twitter about them and after some deliberation and convincing (it didn’t take much at all. XD) i decided to have a go at making them.

The construction is really simple although it took a bit of trial and error to get the style, length, width of the band etc right.
I’ve decided on two different styles. one with thick “petal” shaped ends and one which is thin all the way along.
I’ve only completed the petal ended one so i took a photo but the thin one should be ready tomorrow.

I’m making a couple for Gina too and plan to have one for like every outfit. XD they’re great fun to wear and really comfy. and unlike stretchy headbands, i dont feel like they’ll ping off any second. XD

will upload a pic of the thin one when i have finished it. :)

If i have time/made enough and if people are interested enough i might start selling them. they’ll be pretty cheap maybe £5 each. not including shipping? we’ll see. :)

Really happy with them all. the badges are of good quality, sayu looks AWESOME and the towel is perfect. junjun really is a total beauty. XD looking forward to turning it into a mini pillow. XD

Yay! The PV for C-utes new single, Dance de Bacoon has been released! XD

And i have to say i’m really pleased with this PV! It’s definitely better than anything H!P has churned out recently (with the exception of S/mileage’s Ganbaranakutemo ee Nende)and there’s plenty going on.
There’s really not alot wrong with this PV, Good dance, good group close up shots, interesting group close up shots (XD), cool outfits, they have that cool eye reflection thing going on that W used to have alot of in their PVs and everyone just looks like they’re having a blast! which is what it’s all about after all right? :) The only complaint i have is that it’s almost completely CG’d. I’d have liked to have seen maybe a shot done in a warehouse of some kind, like Roman ~My Dear Boy~ and Our Songs, with the white dresses on, i think that would have looked really cool. :3 Also, LOL at the Momusu copy of the catwalk from Onna de Medatte! XD

This isn’t really a nail blog but i thought i’d put up a post about the tools i use and that you don’t NEED all the fancy tools used in the tutorials and by professionals to make your nails looks good. :)

ok first up, the actual polish. I don’t use expensive ones, sure fancy brands do some awesome polishes but for the type of thing i do i don’t really need them. although i still want to buy them. XD

The ones i use the most are:

left to right:
back – Claire’s cosmetics nail polish – pink, Miss Sporty Quick Dry Clubbing Colours – Orange, Purple and Pink

front – Barry M “Nail Paint” – Cobalt Blue and Shocking Pink

middle – Asda “George” – Superhero, Sunset Orange, Buttercup Shine, Martian and Cloudless Sky

back – Asda “George” – Strengthener and Top Coat and Jackpot, Sinful “Nail Enamel” – Inpulse, Claire’s cosmetics – UV glow

front – Natural Collection – Nail Tip Whitener, Asda “George” – Mid Black

I need to buy myself some pastel colours. XD I also have some OPI and other posh polishes in there but i hardly ever use them. i got given them all. :D

The tools i use consist of 2 paintbrushes and sometimes a tooth pick (not photographed)

Couldn’t tell you what size they are because i don’t know. all i know is that they’re both teeny. XD

For any dots or round blobs, instead of dotting tools, cause i haven’t been able to find any yet, I just dip the tip of the wrong end of the paint brush into a blob of polish on a piece of card or paper and dot it onto my nail. Works best if the blob is fresh outta the bottle. after a while outside of the bottle, especially if the polish is quick drying, it goes all goopy and doesn’t dot so well.

I’m going to start off this post by saying that i absolutely LOVE these nails!!
I’m so happy with them and had a great time totally geeking out. XD
I even watched pokemon while i did them. XD
As always i’ve only done the one hand so far but when i’m done my left pointer finger will say the “Pok” bit of “Pokemon!. XD

Middle: Pikachu’s ears and lightning bolts
Ring: Mew’s eyes
Pinky: Green gameboy (i had a lime gren gameboy colour when i was younger. :D)

The thing a love the most is that i’ve put the beginning of a pokemon battle on the screen of the gameboy. XD

Last night i did my housemate Sarah’s nails! :)

I had a design in mind that was inspired from my pinky nail from when i did my Buono! nails but i couldn’t be bothered to try it on my nails. so when Sarah asked me to do her nails last night i couldn’t resist trying it out. :)

She’s really into all cute buttons and sewing-y type things and cath kidston stuff so i tried to take inspiration from all of it and came up with this:

Thankfully she lves them! :D wish i had used pastel colours though. but i don’t have any so i’ll have to invest in some. it could have benefitted from pale pink instead of bright pink i think. XD

YAY! finally!

I managed to get my mucky paws on my Bunny photosets and phone strap. XD

I had a bit of trouble with these ones. On tuesday i got a slip through telling me i had to pay £11 something for customs. which isn’t too out of the ordinary for HSUSA packages for me. I took it too the post office place only to be told i was at the wrong one. before you say anything, i didn’t even realise there were 2 of the depot places in bournemouth so i didn’t bother to look it up. we then made our way to the other place, a good 15-20 minute drive away, only to pull up and be told it was closed. RAGE! i was so so annoyed. mainly cause i’d wasted my housemates time. i don’t care about my own but it was her petrol and her time i’d wasted. but she said it was ok…. :/

Finally got there this afternoon though. they close at 2.15 apparently. i got there at 2. o.0

cutting it close much? XD

anyways, even though i pretty much paid over £40 for this package in the end, it’s totally worth it. yet again. as H!P always is. :D

The Group bunny set i’m especially happy with as i’ve been after it since like the dawn of time. XD favourites would be Sayu, Reina and JunJun. Reina looks awesome in her picture.

May i just say also that JunJun looks totally scrumptious in bunny ears. XD I know i’ve seen her in them in person but having the pictures now makes it last longer. tee hee.

Also got a Pika Pika JunJun phone strap. was a bit of hassle to get on my phone but has settled in and made friends with the others nicely
